Year-end ushers in the 6 weeks holidays for the children. Many parents will plan for a longer holiday for the entire family and challenging themselves to go further and longer than what they have done the previous year. I am surely feeling the pressure, with the body aching to go on roads less travelled and scenic (at the same time).

The choice destination this time around is New Zealand, South Island. Just to underline route:-

  • Day 1: 20 Nov – Land in Queensland (Lofts Apartment)
  • Day 2: Nov – Day Trip to Milford Sound
  • Day 3: Nov – Skyline Gondola / Luge (Kiwi Birdlife Park)
  • Day 4: Nov – Arrowtown – Dudley Cottage / Wanaka – Puzzling World
  • Day 5: Nov – Dunedin, through Crown Range Road
  • Day 6: Nov – Moeraki Bulders / Oamaru (Blue Penguins Colony)
  • Day 7: Nov – Lake Tekapo / Church of Good Shepherd
  • Day 8: Nov – Akaroa – Barry Bay Cheese (Giants House)
  • Day 9: Nov – Lyttleton / Christ Church – South City Shopping Centre
  • Day 10: Nov – Christ Church – Willow Bank Wildlife Reserves
  • Day 11: Nov – Christ Church – Northland Shopping Centre / Home

We were glad that we have checked the weather just before flying off, the weather was cold, yes there was snow in NZ summer and was freezing when we landed in Queenstown Airport. The images were taken in Queenstown:

Update (9 Jan 2019) – images were taken at the Luge as I was only able to use the handphone:
